Introduction

The RF capacitive level gauge is a type of liquid level (material level) instrument that can be used for measuring liquids, oils, adhesives, solids, and interfaces. With no moving parts, its reliability is greatly enhanced. It is not affected by water vapor, dust or condensation, and has the advantages of stable and reliable long-term operation, high sensitivity, good linearity, high temperature resistance and high pressure resistance. The liquid level gauge has a two-wire 4-20mA output signal, which is easy to adjust. It can be optionally equipped with wireless transmission, RS485 transmission, etc. It is widely used in fields such as petrochemical, metallurgy, power, papermaking, and pharmaceuticals.

Principle

The working principle of a capacitive level gauge is based on measuring the changes in capacitance to detect the height of the liquid level. Specifically, it consists of two electrodes, one of which is usually located at the bottom of the container and connected to the ground potential; Another electrode is located on the wall of the container and is connected to the capacitance meter. When a capacitance is formed between the electrode in the liquid and the electrode on the outer wall, the change in the liquid level will cause the value of this capacitance to change. The digital processing circuit automatically calculates the corresponding change in the material level height based on the change in the capacitance value received, so as to achieve real-time monitoring of the material level height.
