This principle ensures measurements are unaffected by changes in medium density, temperature, pressure, or the presence of vapor and dust. Key functions include providing continuous level data, offering flexible output signals like 4-20mA with HART or RS485 for seamless system integration, and featuring robust construction with lens or horn antennas for stable performance in challenging conditions, from small tanks to large, dusty silos.

They operate on a standard 12-30VDC power supply (typically 24VDC), with optional 220VAC available for some models. Signal outputs are configurable, including two-wire 4-20mA with HART, RS485, 0-10V, and 0-5V. The devices are built to withstand harsh environments, with an ambient temperature range of -20°C to +75°C and media temperature capabilities from -40°C up to +120°C (with a special high-temperature model handling up to 120°C media). Antenna options include compact threaded types (G1.5", G3.5") and larger lens antennas (φ45mm to φ96mm), with process connections ranging from threads to various flange sizes.
